Mileage to date

Just cracked the 2000 mile mark. One thousand miles before the first of the year. Wish I think is going to be tough to pull off. Between kids and a very busy work travel schedule I will have to WORK on getting out there. I have a feeling its going to be more night rides and some fat tire cycling towards the end of the year.

Super sad to say but I finally cracked a hundred miles for the year. Total! wtf
Oh yea, if you thought I was going to say I finally did a century ... nope

Training is way behind. LHT is finally up and running with a new cockpit and shifters.

Must get more miles on the bike. Just a little under 3 months before my first 200k event and the week long tour.

behind already

its been a difficult year already for being on the bike. I was really hoping that the fat tire 907 was going to increase my winter mileage but between a appendix issue and horrible tendinitis in my feet I have 23 miles to date. Three ride...23 miles.

...argh.......

I need to be just under 60 miles a week and I don't even have that done yet.

...argh............

First Event - Brevet 200 June 25th

So I have picked the date of my first Randonneuring event. Its a 200k (124.27 mile)
ride that has a 13.5 hour time limit. Held on June 25th


Sponsored by the Great Lake Randonneurs out of Wisconsin it should be super fun and quite a challenge. I am really hoping the week long tour I am doing the week before gets my legs ready for such an assault.

3000 - New Goal for Mileage this year

I know its been a LONG-LONG time since I have posted on this but in the heart of winter I am planning the rest of my year...just for a mileage goal.
The magic number for this year is 3000 miles.
Which it going to be a solid number. I have been unable to ride or train for the last month due to tendinitis in my feet. So I am already starting my year behind plan.

So here are how the numbers break down:
need to average 57.7 miles a week (8.25 per day)
that's 230.77 miles a month

So far to date I have 12 total miles.
